The Story So Far
I've been writing poetry and singing in the shower for as long as I can remember. A late bloomer by music-world standards, I picked up a guitar for the first time at the age of 21 and began turning my poetry into songs.My music blends gentle acoustic indie-folk sounds with thoughtful storytelling. Influenced by everything from folk and blues to poetry and everyday life, I write songs that explore the spaces between life and death, love and loss, waking and dreaming.Originally from South Africa and now based in the UK, I'm also an architect by training and an award-winning writer. Whether through songs, stories, or articles, I'm fascinated by people, place, belonging, and the search for meaning in ordinary life.In 2017, I released my debut album, Where Oceans Meet the Sky, following a successful crowdfunding campaign. Today, I continue to write, perform, and share music whenever the songs insist on being heard.
